What happens next

  1. Send a short note

Your business name, city and what you need.

  2. Get a reply

Ali or a senior strategist answers, usually the next business day.

  3. Plan the next step

If it fits, you get a clear proposal. If not, honest advice.

What to include in your first message

The more specific your first message, the more useful our reply. Five details help most:

  1. Your company name and the province or towns you work in.
  2. The work you want more of. EV chargers, panel upgrades, residential service, commercial work, or a mix.
  3. Your crew. Number of licensed electricians and apprentices today, and how many you'd like.
  4. Your current marketing. Website address, whether you run ads, roughly how many reviews you have.
  5. Your biggest headache right now. Not enough calls, wrong kind of calls, or not enough people.

You don't need all five. "I'm a two-van shop in [City] and I want more charger installs" is enough to start.

A template you can copy

Texting is a welcome way to start. If you'd rather text or email than call, adapt this:

Hi, this is [Your name] from [Business name] in [City, Province]. We're a licensed electrical contractor with [number] electricians and [number] apprentices. We'd like more [job type] and we're struggling to [hire / get calls / get the right calls]. Our website is [website]. Best time to reach me is [day and time].

What happens after you reach out

The process is short and predictable.

  • Reply. We usually reply within one business day to set a time for the free consultation.
  • Consultation, 30 minutes. We ask about your work mix, crew, current marketing and goals. You ask whatever you like about us.
  • Honest recommendation. If we think we can help, we explain which plan and which campaign, and why. If we don't, we say so and, where we can, suggest what to do instead.
  • Written proposal. Scope, price, ad-spend handling, account ownership and how to cancel, all in writing before you commit.
  • Kick-off. Once you sign, we start with the audit of your calls, website, Google profile and, if recruiting is included, your past hires.

Before you call: three numbers worth knowing

You'll get more from the consultation if you know these, even roughly:

  • Average value of the job type you want to grow. A charger install, a panel upgrade, a service call.
  • How many of those jobs your crew could add per week without overtime.
  • How many calls went unanswered last month. Your phone system or carrier can usually tell you.

Those three numbers tell us whether the bottleneck is demand, capacity or the phone, which shapes everything else. The pricing page shows how to turn them into a break-even estimate.

If you're not ready to talk yet

That's fine. Plenty of owners read for a few weeks before they call. In the meantime, a few things you can do on your own will make any marketing work better, ours or anyone else's:

  • Check your Google Business Profile. Is the primary category right? Are your hours current? Are there photos of your own vans and work?
  • Call your own business at 10 a.m. on a weekday and see what happens. If it goes to voicemail, that's the first thing to fix.
  • Count your reviews from the last 90 days, not all time. Recent reviews matter more to customers.
  • Read one of our guides. The EV charger lead guide and the electrician job ad guide are both practical enough to use the same week.

When you are ready, the message template above is all you need.

Who you'll be dealing with

ElectricalTeam.ca is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, headquartered in Vancouver, BC, and led by Ali Sedighi, MBA. We are a marketing and business consulting service, not an electrical contractor and not a staffing agency. Read more about us, see our services, or check the FAQ first.

We only use your contact details to reply to you and to discuss the work you asked about.
